The goal of this division is to assist individuals in functioning lawfully and constructively in the community while ensuring public safety.

Criminal Justice Planning

The Criminal Justice Planner performs professional and technical work involving the advancement of Justice Services programs and services. Work involves meeting facilitation, data and policy analysis, legal, scientific and statistical research, oral and written presentations, management of short-term and long-term projects, collection and distribution of information, and consultation with local criminal justice system stakeholders. Serves as staff support to the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) and CJCC committees.

The El Paso County Veterans Service Office is responsible for assisting residents of the State of Colorado who served honorably in the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard or any other armed service of the nation.
